Question:

How to find affordable life coaching in Texas?

Answer:

The American Psychological Association (APA) defines the art of life coaching as “a form of teaching and encouragement (one-to-one or coach-to-group) designed to help individuals identify and meet goals of importance to them in their personal and work lives.”

As well, the APA defines the practice of psychotherapy as “any psychological service provided by a trained professional that primarily uses forms of communication and interaction to assess, diagnose, and treat dysfunctional emotional reactions, ways of thinking, and behavior patterns.”

Hollings Therapy, LLC staff began working with a host of issues in 1991, when informally serving as a life coach. Then, in 2011, a shift toward formal psychotherapy occurred. In all, our qualified professionals have over three decades of experience in addressing a host of problems.

As well, our staff retains licensure to practice only in the state of Texas. Specifically, Hollings Therapy, LLC practices as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).

According to The Perfect RX, “Most therapy sessions in Texas cost $90–$250 per session,” LPC and LCSW out-of-pocket costs range between “$90–$180,” and individual therapy (which is the sole method offered by Hollings Therapy, LLC) costs can range between “$90–$200.”

Per SimplePractice, “the cost of therapy has risen almost 13% over the past five years,” “In 2024, the average cost of therapy has risen to roughly $139,” and the average cost for self-pay clients in Texas is “131.” Hollings Therapy, LLC charges $100 per individual, per session.

This relatively low-cost service applies to both life coaching and psychotherapy services offered by Hollings Therapy, LLC. As well, for qualifying clients, a sliding scale (lower cost) fee may be available. If you can find a less expensive option in Texas, then you are encouraged to pursue it.
